WW2 US Army 80th Infantry Division Patch . USP1289

$15.00

United States Army 80th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia (patch). Most likely 1940s (WW2) era. The patch does not react to UV light (does not glow under blacklight). Worn condition.

Additional Notes:  In August of 1944, the 80th Division landed at Utah Beach. The division was destined to become the “work horse” of General Patton’s Third Army and to play a key role in the breakthrough at Avranches. The 80th took part in the Third Army dash across France, cutting through Saint-Mihiel, Châlons, and Commercy in pursuit of the retreating Germans. The 80th also took part in the attack on the Siegfried Line at Zweibrücken when the Germans launched their winter offensive in the Ardennes.
