WW2 German Police Officer Shako . HG4105cxdw

$1,575.00

WW2 German Police Officer Shako. 1936 pattern with green wool covering on body with black trim for metropolitan police. Nice quality raised police officer eagle plate with bullion wire officer cockade, and silver-aluminum officer scaled chinstrap. Top section with a bit of age crazing. Twin air vents to either side of the body. Interior leather sweatband in nice condition with officer cloth silk rayon liner section still in good condition. I do not see any marker marks on interior dome on this one. It does have a small white ink “59” size mark on inner visor section. Nice overall condition and would display very well.

Additional Notes: The WW2 German police officer’s shako, also known as a Tschako, was a distinctive piece of headgear worn by members of the Schutzpolizei and Gendarmerie during the Third Reich era. It combined military formality with traditional styling, making it one of the more recognizable elements of German police uniforms at the time.
