WW2 German Luftschutz Helmet – RL2 39/11 . HG4080

WW2 German Luftschutz helmet. Air Raid helmet. Sheet metal steel construction 3-piece “Gladiator” style helmet. The front Luftschutz winged decal is in very nice overall condition. The dark satin blue smooth paint still in decent overall condition on front portion of helmet, however, has quite a bit wear on the back upper side of the helmet with a large section paint worn away and an indent in that area of the helmet, looks like it took a bit of hit to the helmet at that point. Liner in good condition and is ink size marked 56 and still has drawstring. Chinstrap still there, however, very worn condition and ripped through a bit on the inner section right where it goes under the liner (very delicate spot and might rip all the way through very soon). Inner rim has a red painted 27 number. Marker stamped RL 2 – 39/11 on back inner rim area. Worn condition.
