WW2 German Army Artillery EM/NCO Visor Cap . HG1535

WW2 German Army Artillery EM/NCO Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Red waffenfarbe (branch of service, red for artillery) piping to the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the center band. Stamped Aluminum army eagle and cockade insignia on front of cap. The eagle seems to be a little loose to cap and a bit crooked, probably added back onto cap. Interior of cap with some quite a bit of wear to leather sweatband, pulling away at some spots and ripped in some areas. The interior of the cap is lined in the issue type orange-tan oilcloth. The interior upper clear celluloid sweat shield is in decent condition and has a very faded size ink stamped which appears to be most likely “53 1/2”.  Worn condition with some small, scattered moth nips, overall decent shape.
