WW2 German Kriegsmarine U-Boat Clock . SP131

$3,200.00

WW2 German Kriegsmarine U-Boat Clock with key and papers. The papers include a handwritten information from the family of the GI that brought the clock back. Also, has several pictures of the GI as well. Clock has a major dent on each side. However, the key still seems to work fine (opens door and winds clock) and clock seems to run, not sure how accurate it still is, would use more for display than a working clock. I am cautious in winding too much, I have only slight wound to run for a little bit, I am afraid to overwind the clock. Appears to made out of some type of brass and aluminum alloy type metal. Clock has Kriegsmarine Eagle with the M and Serial number “8544” on front faceplate of clock. It has a great look and would make a great display room clock. This was a local picker find out of the woodwork from the family of the GI who brought back. Size approximately 3 7/8 inches deep, and about 8 inches across. Again, selling as a great ww2 Kriegsmarine clock display with history and not as an accurate working clock.
