WW2 German Condor Legion Black Wound Badge 1st Pattern (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, 1. Form). Steel based wound badge with decent paint. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The Condor Legion Wound Badge was awarded to German volunteers who fought in the 1936-1939 Spanish War of Liberation. The black wound badge was awarded to those who were wounded once or twice by hostile action. It is typically constructed out of either a die stamped tombak base or steel-based metal that has been black painted. The badge features an embossed swaz on the profile an Imperial M16 pattern helmet, two crossed broad swords, and is surrounded by a laurel leaf and berry wreath.
