WW1 German Black Wound Badge. Brass-alloy based badge with quite a bit of the paint worn off. Black for 3rd class, representing Iron, for those wounded once or twice by hostile actions (including air raids). Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The Imperial German Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen) was a German military decoration first introduced by the German Emperor in March of 1918, which was first awarded to soldiers of the German Army who were wounded during World War I.
