WW2 US 8th AAF Patch . USP1325

United States 8th Army Air Force (AAF) shoulder sleeve insignia (patch). The patch is fully embroidered with a snowy back. 1940s ww2 era patch. The patch does not react to UV light (does not glow under blacklight). Worn condition.

Additional Notes: The U.S. 8th Army Air Force (8th AAF) was a United States Army Air Forces combat air force in WW2. It engaged in operations primarily in the Northern Europe area of responsibility, carried out strategic bombing of enemy targets in France, the Low Countries, and Germany, and engaged in air-to-air fighter combat against enemy aircraft until the German capitulation in May of 1945. The U.S. 8th Air Force was based in England and was nicknamed the “Mighty 8th”.
