United States Army Enlisted 159th Field Artillery Collar Disk. Domed Collar Disks. Clutch back. One disk is the basic “U.S.” disk and the other has crossed cannons (for field artillery) and 159th. Late 1940s to early 1960s era. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The 159th Field Artillery Battalion, also known as the 105mm Battalion, played a significant role in the Korean War. They were involved in heavy combat since April 1, 1951, firing a total of 19,924 rounds. The battalion’s actions during the Korean War were recognized with various decorations, including the Navy Presidential Unit Citation and two Republic of Korea Presidential Citations.
