United States American Defense Medal for ww2 service. This is a fairly modern restrike with crimped broach which is marked G27 (for the marker of Graco Industries, Tomball, Texas, this G27 mark was typically used from 1991 to present). A lot of wear to medal and staining to ribbon.
Additional Notes: The American Defense Service Medal is a military award of the U.S. Armed Forces, established in June of 1941. The medal was intended to recognize those military service members who had served on active duty between September of 1939 and December of 1941.
