Additional Notes: The Prudhomme Version Verdun Medal is a commemorative medal issued to French soldiers who participated in the defense of Verdun during the German 1916 offensive. This medal is characterized by its bronze construction and features a bust in combat helmet on the front, inscribed with “Verdun 1916.” The reverse side displays the motto “AUX GLORIEUX DEFENSEURS de VERDUN” and a name tablet in blank. The medal is fitted with a loose ring suspender and a piece of 37 mm red ribbon with blue-white-red edges.
