United States Navy Officer Cap Badge. Multi-piece construction. Marked on back of cap badge Viking Ster 1/20 10k. 1940s-1950s (ww2-Korea) era. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The U.S. Navy officer’s cap badge features two gold crossed fouled anchors with a burnished silver shield and a silver spread eagle, symbolizing authority and service. The badge is worn on the front of the combination cap, which is part of the officer’s uniform. For garrison caps, miniature versions of the cap device are worn on the left side, while rank insignia is placed on the right side.
