Additional Notes: The M-1944 US Army Officer’s Pants, often referred to as “pinks,” were part of the iconic “pinks and greens” uniform combination worn during WW2. They were made from high-quality wool gabardine or serge, offering durability and a refined appearance. Officially they were often called drab shade no. 54, a taupe with a pinkish hue, hence the nickname “pinks.” The cut was high-waisted with a full thigh and seat for better mobility in the field. They were worn with the OD 51 green service coat, creating the classic officer look. Officers could also choose these trousers instead of matching OD dark green (O.D. Dark) ones for a more distinguished style.
