SOLD WW2 US Army M1941 Combat Field Jacket . UA1255

United States WW2 Army M-1941 Combat Field Jacket. Talon marked front zipper. Very heavily worn, damaged, and stained condition with a lot of very heavy use, old field repairs, and wear.

 

Additional Notes: The M1941 Field Jacket was used by the US Army during the beginning of WW2. It was introduced in 1940 and became the standard combat uniform for soldiers and Marines until the end of WW2. The jacket was constructed of an olive drab shade of cotton poplin outer shell with a dark olive drab blanket wool flannel lining. The jacket had a front zipper front closure with a buttoned flap. The jacket also had buttons at the collar for closing the lapels, as well as, buttoned adjusting tabs on each side of the waist and at the cuffs and buttoned shoulder epaulets. There were two front slash pockets and a notched lapel collar.
