The vintage toy police cruisers were made by Midgetoy in Rockford, Illinois, likely during the 1950s–1960s. They’re crafted from cast metal and range from about 2 1/2 inches to 3 1/2 inches in length, usually featuring painted bodies identified with “Rockford, Ill. USA” molded underneath. Very heavily worn condition.
Additional Notes: Midgetoy was founded by Alvin and Earl Herdklotz in Rockford, IL, in 1946, evolving from their precision tool‑making business after WW2. They produced simple, sturdy die‑cast vehicles sold affordably through dime stores, stamped with “Midgetoy, Rockford, IL.”
