Japanese Folding Battle Helmet – Late Edo . SJ122

Japanese Folding Battle Helmet (Chochin-Kabuto). Most likely late Edo era. Cloth lining in very worn condition. Chin cord also very heavily worn. Wear and chipping to portions of the lacquering of exterior helmet. Dark blue lacing strands also very worn condition with several breaks and tears in places, however, all plate sections still held in place. Locking twist still works okay. Displays decently.
