WW2 German SS NCO Sword Krebs w/Portepee . SG197

WW2 German SS NCO Sword (Degen) with ss portepee. The blade is maker marked with the logo for Krebs Solingen (Peter Daniel Krebs, Solingen) on the blade ricasso. Original leather buffer pad piece is still in place. This is a straight sword, a single-sided blade. The blade is in nice condition with some wear and a bit of graying. The grip is in worn condition with some of the black finish worn off in areas. The pommel top has the SS runes with nice darkening background around edges. The nickel-plated fittings have a bit of wear. Sword is SS proof on the scabbard throat. The paint on the scabbard is in good overall condition. The sword blade measures approximately 32 inches. The sword fits nicely into the scabbard. Overall, a nice SS NCO sword.
