SOLD WW2 Japanese Good Luck Flag . NNJ441

WW2 Japanese military good luck flag (hinomaru yosegaki) which was a traditional gift for Japanese soldiers deployed during military engagements, most notably during WW2. The flag is the national flag which was typically signed by friends and family with short messages and wishing the soldier victory and good luck. This flag has a nice look with many kanji (wishes of victory and good luck). There are two leather type corner re-enforcements. Some staining and wear, however, decent condition considering age and would display very well. Also, there appears to be writing most likely from the GI that brought home with name on one corner and some location type information in the center sun area. Size approximately 32 inches X 27 inches. Very worn condition.
