Sold(MM)WW2 Japanese Army Officer Handle . NNJ328

Japanese Army Officer Sword (Shin Gunto) Tsuka (handle). The brown Ito (cloth binding) is loose at sections. Has the Kabuto-gune (hilt buttcap). Handle has Fuchi (hilt collar), however, push button latch is broken. Missing the Menuki on one side. Most likely 1930s-1940s. Overall length approximately 10 1/2 inches. Very worn condition with wrap coming loose, could be used for parts or restoration project.
