Imperial German Prussian Order of the Crown 4th Class. I believe this may be the improper ribbon for this medal, however, left it with the medal as this is how it came to us. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The Prussian Order of the Crown 4th Class is a military division of the Order of the Crown, Prussia, which was instituted in 1861. It is one of the six classes of the Order, which was equal in rank to the Order of the Red Eagle. The 4th Class badge features a gilt cross pattée surrounded by a crown in gold and the inscription ‘GOTT MIT UNS’ on a blue enamel ring. The reverse of the badge displays the royal cypher with the date ‘Den 18 October 1861’ on a blue enamel circle. The Order of the Crown continued to be awarded even after the dissolution of the Kingdom of Prussia, remaining as enduring symbols of valor, service, and honor in German society.
