WW1 German G98 Ammo Pouch. M1909 “standard” three pocket pouch. Early pouch with brass fittings and brown pebble grained leather. Marker marked and dated on the back: A.SCHWALBE BERLIN 1914. Very worn condition.
Additional Notes: The WW1 German Ammo pouches included three pockets with each pocket holding two five round clips of ammo, and soldiers wore two of these on their belts, for a total of 60 rounds. It was made of brown pebble grained leather and was often manufacturer’s stamped and dated. These pouches were usually dyed black after 1916.
