US Army Ridgeway Fatigue Cap – Size 7 1/8 . HU1199

United States Army Ridgeway Pattern Flat Top Fatigue Cap. Two vent holes on each side. M1951. Size tag marked 7 1/8, however, appears to be a bit smaller when measured with cap sizing tool. Most likely 1950s (Korean War) era through the early 1960s. Worn condition.

Additional Notes: The Ridgeway Pattern Cap, a stiffened version of the M1951 hat became famous outside America after being worn by Fidel Castro. The patrol cap was replaced altogether in 1962 with a baseball-like cap identified as Cap, Field (Hot Weather) OG-106.
