US WW2 M1 Combat Helmet Front Seam Repainted . HU1086

$120.00

U.S. WW2 M1 Combat Helmet. Swivel bale with front seam (1943-1944). However, it appears someone re-painted the helmet shell and liner so that it displays as a Combat Medic insignia type designs. So, original ww2 era helmet and liner, however, they have been repainted (I believe recently) to have a fancier display look. Helmet shell has only one half of the original stitched-on chinstrap that is rough condition, the other side of the stitched-on chinstrap strap is missing. Liner in very rough and heavily damaged condition with liner interior that is damaged and missing portions of the interior webbing and most of the other interior liner parts. The liner is marked with the Westinghouse logo and “D16” in interior dome area. Overall, a ww2 swivel bale front seam helmet with a ww2 era liner, however, heavily damaged interior to helmet liner and both helmet shell and liner later repainted with combat medic type design.
