German NVA Trousers w/Suspenders – 2R . HM420

German Army Trousers with Suspenders. Button-fly front. White type numbering on interior is faded. Tag is marked: Made in Germany R.N. 80609. Also, has several other black ink stamps, including: NVA, 2R, dederonhaltig, 03203. Waist appears to be about 18 inches across (about a 36 inch waist), overall length appears to be about 43 inches, and inseam appears to be about 31 inches. Used and worn condition.
Additional Notes: The National People’s Army (Nationale Volksarmee or NVA) were the armed forces of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) from 1956 to 1990. The NVA was formed in March of 1956 to succeed the Kasernierte Volkspolizei (Barracked People’s Police) and under the influence of the Soviet Army became one of the Warsaw Pact militaries opposing NATO during the Cold War.
