Description
$2,500.00
WW2 German Woodchip Camouflage M35 Combat Helmet. Exterior has very nice woodchip camouflage paint over the M35 smooth green-gray paint. Helmet liner in decent condition, however, missing the drawstring and chinstrap. Also, appears to have name and number written on liner and well as initials. Marker and size mark on interior rim Q66 (for the marker of Quist). Production/Lot code marked on inner rim appears to be: 813. Overall, a nice woodchip camouflage M35 combat helmet.
Additional Notes: The German combat helmets produced from 1935 to 1945 had two factory stampings punched into the side and rear or both in the rear. The alpha numeric number refers to the factory location (ET, SE, Q, NS, EF, HKP) and the inside metric circumference in centimeters. The rear lot number refers to the production run and was used as a quality control measure. There we three main combat models produced: the M35, M40, and M42. Each reflects a different phase of the war, from pre-war precision engineering to mass production under siege conditions.
