WW2 German Army Artillery EM/NCO Overseas (Side) Cap. Machine sewn red artillery soutache and cockade. Hand sewn (applied) cap eagle. The ventilation grommets in good condition and retain most of their field-grey paint. Marker marked in ink stamped, two stamps: HEILER MUNCHEN and faded mark that appears to be Firmo Joh. Bartahn Nurberg and size 57. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The overseas cap, nicknamed in German military slang as Schiffchen, or literally “little ship” as it resembled an up-turned row-boat, was standard issue for all branches of the Heer.
