WW2 German Italian Afrika Korps Campaign Medal. The Afrika Korps Medal was designed by De Marchis and was based on the Italian Army Corps fighting in North Africa together with their German allies to reward the achievements of the Afrikakorps. The medal was awarded only to German troops, due to Italy’s withdrawal from the war and subsequent surrender. Worn condition medal with stained ribbon that also has a black safety type pin attached to the ribbon.
