United States Spanish-American War Canteen. This canteen is the classic style known to collectors as the “Bullseye” pattern with the reinforcement rings on the sides. The canteen has two of the three of the original strap loops are still present, the bottom strap loop was removed for Spanish American War conversion and cover added during that time. This canteen also still has the cork topper piece still there as well. Heavily worn condition cover, you can make out some of the design of the bullseye pattern canteen below cover.
