Additional Notes: U.S. Id Tags “Dog Tags” are a popular collectible in the militaria field and one of the more collectable of these are the Next of Kin (NoK) dog tags issued by the U.S. Army at the beginning of WW2. These not only gave you the GI’s name but also list the name and address of his Next of Kin (NoK). Serial numbers can also tell you if the GI was an officer or enlisted man. Many collect these id tags by state and city names.
