United States WW2 Sweetheart Handkerchief Grouping 1943. Group has 3 handkerchiefs, one with Mother and another with Sweetheart and one with a flag design and writing that states: To my dear mother with love! Iceland 1943. These are rayon type material handkerchiefs with embroidery. American military eagle design embroidery with the words Sweetheart or Mother and U.S.A on two of these. Size approximately 9 inches x 9 inches when unfolded. Good overall condition with some wear.
Additional Notes: These small sweetheart type souvenir handkerchiefs were purchased by U.S. GIs (American military servicemen) and typically given as gifts to a sweetheart or family members.
