Pair of US Army Leggings WW2 . FLU4963

United States Army Pair of Military Canvas Leggings/Spats. I cannot make out any contract marks or size stamps on these. Most likely 1940s (WW2) era. Very heavily worn and used condition.

Additional Notes: The U.S. Military Leggings are designed to cover U.S. GI’s boots from the ankle up to prevent snagging and keep stones, mud, and other debris from getting inside the soldier’s boots and to provide additional ankle support. They are often referred to as gaiters or spats as well.
