United States Army Trainer Aircraft Wing Section. I believe this is from a Trainer Aircraft, maybe a Stearman, from about the 1930s-1940s. There is a small transparent cover section where you can see what looks like part of an interior cable as well. Cloth painted covering over a hollow frame material. Very worn condition with several age cracks, tears, and damage to exterior cloth covering. Size approximately 34 inches x 18 inches x 4 inches. Would make a nice backdrop display for US Army Aviation type material.
Additional Notes: The US Army Stearman Trainer Aircraft is an American biplane formerly used as a military trainer aircraft, of which at least 10,626 were built in the United States during the 1930s and 1940s.
