United States Army Mountain Troops Backpack (Rucksack) with Metal Frame. M1951. Stamped in black ink “Salvage” side of backpack by metal frame. Marker marked and dated 1951 under main closure flap. Very worn condition.

Additional Notes: The US Army M1951 Backpack was the type issued to the 10th SFGA at Fort Devens. It was also believed that they were used by a number of Special Forces, Airborne, and a few Marine units over the years as well.
