WW2 German Bread/Ration Bag . EFL4705

$110.00

WW2 German M31 bread/rations bag. Marker marked on the central strap, however, faded and difficult to make out. Appears to be an earlier field-grey color bag. Also has the greenish type of paint on the leather which typically can be found on early war examples. Very worn condition.

Additional Notes: The German Breadbag M31 (Brotbeutel Modell 1931) is a piece of equipment that can be found on almost every German soldier in WW2. It is a simple one compartment haversack which contained the rations of a soldier. The bread bags came in a wide range of color variations. Early examples have aluminum hardware, while later examples have steel and/or zinc to save on the use of much needed aluminum.
