1936 Berlin Olympic Participation Medal. Marker marked along edge of medal, also looks like it may have been mounted on something as well since there is some type of hole indentation along bottom rim of medal.

 

Additional Notes: The 1936 Berlin Olympic Participation Medal is a round bronze medal commemorating participation in the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics. The front of the medal features five men standing in a line and stepping up on to a ledge. Written vertically on the left side of the medal’s front is:  XI. OLYMPIADE. Written vertically on the right side of the medal’s front is: BERLIN. Written at the bottom of the medal is: 1936. The back of the medal features a bell with an eagle holding the Olympic rings at center. On the edge of the bell there is type. Type on the bottom right of the medal’s back is the name of the designer of the medal: OTTO PLACZEK.
