Additional Notes: The U.S. M1 bayonet with a 10-inch blade was a standard issue for the U.S. Army during WW2. It was designed for the M1 Garand rifle and was shorter than the previous 16-inch M1905 bayonet, making it more practical for close combat situations. Many of these bayonets were produced by companies like American Fork and Hoe (AFH), Oneida Limited (OL), Pal Blade and Tool (PAL), and Utica Cutlery (UC). The 10-inch blade version was often marked with the U.S. Ordnance flaming bomb symbol

PAL (PAL Blade Co.) manufactured the original 16‑inch M1905 bayonet in 1942. MOD indicates it was modified (shortened) to the 10‑inch M1 pattern. These shortened versions are collectively known as M1905E1 bayonets.
