United States Army M7 Bayonet. Bayonet marker marked U.S. M7 Conetta under cross guard. Blade in good overall condition. Scabbard is marked U.S. M8A1 VIZ. Approximately 6 3/4 inch blade. Most likely a Vietnam era knife. Worn and used condition.
Additional Notes: The M7 bayonet was used by the U.S. Military for the M16 rifle. The M7 bayonet can also be used with the M4 carbine as well as many other assault rifles, carbines and combat shotguns. The M7 bayonet can also be used as a fighting knife and/or utility tool.
