WW2 German Luftwaffe 1st Model Dagger . D967

WW2 German 1st Model Luftwaffe dagger (Fliegerdolch). Blade is not maker marked. The plated blade in decent overall condition. The blade still has the blue leather washer. Dagger fittings (cross guard, pommel, scabbard fittings) on dagger with a lot of heavy wear and some corrosion. The wood core grip with dark blue leather wrap with some wear, scuffs, and portions of missing leather. The aluminum grip wire is in decent condition. The scabbard is in very rough shape with most of the dark blue leather missing. The scabbard does still have its chain hanger which is also marked Ges Gesch OLC on clip portion. Approximately 12 1/8 inch blade. Overall, a very worn condition Luftwaffe dagger with most of the leather missing from the scabbard and a lot of wear to the fittings, could be used as restoration project, leave as found, or as a parts piece.
