Additional Notes: The 1919 Poland State Loan Bank 100 Marek note was issued shortly after Poland regained independence following WW1. Issued by the Polish State Loan Bank (Polska Krajowa Kasa Pożyczkowa) in 1919. Part of Poland’s early efforts to stabilize its economy and assert sovereignty after years of partition. The Obverse features a portrait of Tadeusz Kościuszko, a national hero known for his role in Poland’s fight for independence. The reverse features the Polish Eagle, a symbol of national pride.
