German 1935-D 5 Mark Silver Coin, Hindenburg Eagle. On the front (obverse) of the coin the portrait of Hindenburg facing right and the wording: 1847-1934 Paul Von Hindenburg. On the back (reverse) side is the Hindenburg Eagle that divides the date with the denomination below. Also, has letter on edge of coin “GEMEINNUTZ GEHT VOR EIGENNUTZ” which translates to: COMMON GOOD TAKES PRECEDENCE OVER SELF-INTEREST. Worn and circulated condition. Contains 90% (.900) silver.

 

Additional Notes: The 5 Reichsmark, Paul von Hindenburg, Coin with the Hindenburg eagle design was issued between 1935-1936.  The 5 Reichs Mark (RM) coin weighs 13.88g with 90% fine silver. The coin was minted in Germany during the Third Reich Era (WW2). 0.4016 oz ASW.
