1934-D German 5 Mark (5 Reichsmark) Coin. In worn condition plastic holder. The back of the coin features the Potsdam Garrison Church. The front has the German eagle dividing the date and denomination below. The edge of the coin has the inscription “GEMEINNUTZ GEHT VOR EIGENNUTZ”. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The 5 Reichsmark coin was introduced during the Third Reich period in Germany, following the introduction of the Reichsmark in 1924 as a replacement for the Papiermark due to hyperinflation in the early 1920s. The back of the coin features the Potsdam Garrison Church. The front has the German eagle dividing the date and denomination below. The edge of the coin is smooth and has the inscription “GEMEINNUTZ GEHT VOR EIGENNUTZ” which translates to “Common good takes priority over self-interest”. Silver content 0.900, ASW 0.40 Oz.
