British RAF 1918 Two Insignia . BMX49

British Royal Air Force (RAF) 1918 two metal insignia. The brass eagle and separate crown. Approximately 2 1/4 inch wingspan. The brass backing plate is present, as are the attachment nuts. Both of these appear to be facing the same direction (both right facing). I have been told different things from collectors. Some state these are sleeve insignia (however, typically, they face different directions). While others state they are RAF Wedge Cap insignia (however, they seem to be facing the opposite direction than those seen on caps). Interesting, however, not quite sure what these were issued for. Worn condition.
