WW2 German Fireman Dress Bayonet. Marker marked on one side of the blade ricasso with the Tiger Solingen logo and other the other side of the blade ricasso is the distributor mark of Georg Rieder Munchen. Blade approximately 9 7/8 inches in length. Good blade, fittings, and grip.
Additional Notes: The WW2 German Fireman’s Dress Bayonet was a ceremonial sidearm worn by Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Protection Police) personnel with their walking-out or evening dress uniforms. Unlike combat bayonets, it lacked a rifle lug slot and release button, making it purely decorative. These bayonets typically featured nickel-plated blades, often unsharpened. Checkered Bakelite grips, secured with nickel rivets. Black enamel-painted scabbards. Manufacturers like Carl Eickhorn, WKC, and Alcoso produced variations, including short and long blade versions. Some had etched blades or sawback designs.
