Argentine Mauser Bayonet M1909 (Model 1909). No scabbard. Marker marked on one side of the blade ricasso Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solingen. German made import bayonet. On the other side of the blade still has the intact Argentine Crest with the words Modelo Argentino 1909 and serial numbered F5138. Blade length approximately 15 3/4 inches. Wood grips. The bayonet pommel with KA in oval mark (for República Argentina). Overall, very nice condition.
Additional Notes: The Argentine Mauser Bayonet M1909 was a German-made sword bayonet designed for the Modelo Argentino 1909 rifle, itself a variant of the Gewehr 98. Produced mainly by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen. The blade is approximately 15 3/4 inches, single-edged with a fuller, polished steel finish.
