Additional Notes: The Spanish Model 1913 bayonet, also known as the Model 1893/1913 long bayonet, is a bayonet that bridges two key Spanish Mauser rifle models. The official name was Machete Bayoneta Modelo 1913, Also Known As: Model 1893/13 or “Long” bayonet and was adopted in 1913, originally to replace the M1893 knife bayonet. The primary use was initially for the Spanish Mauser Model 1893 rifle, later reassigned to the M1916 short rifle and eventually the M1943 short rifle. The M1913 was introduced during a transitional period in Spanish military armament. Though designed for the 1893 Mauser, it was quickly adapted for newer rifles like the M1916. These bayonets were also exported and used by other countries, including Mexico and possibly Portugal.
