Danish Model 1962-HTK Bayonet-Field Knife. Correct scabbard with the British 37 Pattern belt hooks added to the frog and marked on the front top metal fitting of scabbard with the Danish Crown over HTK (Haerens Tekniske Korps- Army Technical Corps). Parkerized blade is approximately 6 3/4 inches in length. Worn condition.

 

Additional Notes: The Danish M1962-HTK Bayonet for M1 Garand, this was a copy of the US M5A1 bayonet, typically it was marked with the HTKM-62 with Crown, Haerens Tekniskne Korps (Army Technical Corps) Manufactured between 1960 and 1969.

Early production is believed to have been produced by E&F Horster. These had a peened pommel. Later production had a smooth pommel and were marked “HMAK.” These are believed to have been produced by Carl Eickhorn Waffenfabrik.

The scabbard is similar to that of a US M8A1, except for the woodgrain-colored plastic and British-style belt fastener.
