WW2 German K98 Bayonet cqh 40 . BAYO668

WW2 German K98 combat bayonet with frog. The bakelite grips are in good condition. Mis-matched numbers on blade and scabbard. Blade in very poorly sharpened condition with large scratches and one chip on edge of blade. Bayonet blade appears to be numbered “8078 C” on one side of blade ricasso and “cqh” (Note: bayonet makers marked their name on bayonets between the years of 1937 – 1940/41, cqh I believe is for Clemen & Jung) marked on the other side. Also, dated “40” on back of blade edge. Push button on pommel is stuck and pommel area is waffenamt marked. The scabbard is in worn condition and numbered: 2752. Bayonet frog appears to be marker marked LLG Hessen and dated 1942 on back of leather and in worn condition.
