WW2 German Fireman Dress Bayonet. Marker marked on the blade ricasso E.Pack & Sohne Solingen. Blade approximately 9 5/8 inches in length. Nice clean blade, good fittings and grip. Good condition scabbard.
Additional Notes: The WW2 German Fireman’s Dress Bayonet was a ceremonial sidearm worn by Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Protection Police) personnel with their walking-out or evening dress uniforms. Unlike combat bayonets, it lacked a rifle lug slot and release button, making it purely decorative. These bayonets typically featured nickel-plated blades, often unsharpened. Checkered Bakelite grips, secured with nickel rivets. Black enamel-painted scabbards. Manufacturers like Carl Eickhorn, WKC, and Alcoso produced variations, including short and long blade versions. Some had etched blades or sawback designs.
