WW2 German K98 combat bayonet with frog. This one has old masking tape on the scabbard with handwritten information about being found in Normandy 1980 (no other details or documentation). Left tape and information on scabbard. Decent looking bakelite grips. Mis-matched numbers on blade and scabbard. Blade in decent condition with some wear and spotting. Bayonet appears to be marker marked “BYM” (for the maker of Maschinenhaus Ferlach, 1941/45) on one side of blade ricasso and serial numbered “2720 E” on the other side. Number “4” on back of bayonet spine. Bayonet frog in very worn and damaged condition. The scabbard also in very worn condition. Bayonet is Waffenamt marked on pommel near push button area. Very heavily worn condition.
