US M1 Paratrooper Helmet Textured Camo Paint . HU1299

United States Army M1 Combat helmet with Paratrooper Liner and Heavy Textured Camouflage Paint. Very unusual textured camouflage paint scheme, I have not seen one like this before, came out of a pick-up from single soldier that had his 101st patched airborne shirts with jump wings (listed separately) as well as other paratrooper items (early Vietnam era shirts, insignia, etc). The helmet is an earlier Front seam swivel bale helmet with stitched on paratrooper straps. Paint has a wear, corrosion, and large hit on top where the camouflage paint is missing and has unusual tan color below. The inside of the helmet shell has a heavy green repaint interior that covers being able to read any heat stamps. The liner interior is a paratrooper liner that is marked on the interior dome area with what appears to be the Firestone logo with numbers 63 and 103 and is painted black. Overall, a very interesting M1 paratrooper helmet straight out of the woodwork with other items that ties the helmet most likely to 101st Airborne soldier in early Vietnam era.
